We all know how to make latkes .. but here are a few other Hanukkah treats!


1) Sufganiyot for Hanukkah!

Ingredients:
1 2/3 cups of flour (plus more for dusting hands)
2 eggs beaten
1 tsp. baking powder
1 cup sour cream
¼ cup sugar
½ tsp. salt
1 cup powdered sugar
Oil for frying
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except powdered sugar and oil. In a frying pan, heat oil to medium heat. Carefully place dough into oil, 1TBSP at a time. Fry 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown all over. Carefully remove sufganiyot form oil and place on paper towels to drain. Gently roll warm sufganiyot in powdered sugar (or sprinkle on top), and set aside. Serve warm. These are really easy and REALLY good!

3) Edible Dreidel

When the children are tired of playing dreidel, they can make this one to eat!
Ingredients:
- 1 marshmallow
- 1 toothpick*
- 1 Hershey's kiss
Directions:
Child: Thread the toothpick through the marshmallow. Add the kiss to the end. Eat it, don't spin it!
* to avoid the toothpick - you can experiment with using any icing that hardens as a glue to attach the kiss to the marshmallow!
